Sue Moore here…your guide to healthy and beautiful skin
Here’s today’s question: Don’t we all want our eyes to Sparkle? Like dancing diamonds in the sky?
The answer to that is yup, absolutely. That’s kind of a no-brainer. But what happens to those sparkling eyes as we age?
Well, a few things start to rear their ugly heads and it starts around 50-ish mark, could be earlier, could be later but let’s say around 50-ish just think about it for a sec…
have you noticed that many women, perhaps yourself…certainly myself, begin to show signs of darkness under the eye and we purchase heavier cover cream to hide that
Or notice under eye puffiness that was never there before and the worst…hold it...
when looking at yourself in the mirror &your eyes seem to have lost that sparkle completely and you realize you have tired looking eyes? Holy moly!!!
Why does that happen?
Well, there are several day-to-day stressors like staring at a computer screen all day, binge watching your favorite Netflix series or just the pollution in the air, even if we can’t physically see it.
And then, remember… the skin around the eyes if thin and fragile and that’s why it’s the first place that shows signs of stress and fatigue.
So, what’s a gal to do? Well, you could do this…. elevating your head while you sleep with another pillow – gravity drains enough fluid to help with ‘next day puffiness.
But there are some ingredients you may want to be aware of for your undereye choices. Things like
Caffeine that combats dark circles
Phytonutrients combat puffiness
and Brighteners for undereye lamination.
So, the next time you’re in the market for skincare to bring the sparkle back to your baby blues or browns Check to see if some of those ingredients are listed on the packaging and put that sparkle back where it belongs.
